PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains what information Streamify Me ("we," "us") collects when you use streamifyme.com (the "Site"), and how we use it. This is a plain-language draft covering what the Site actually does today — it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer, and you should get one to review it before relying on it as your final policy.

What we collect

• Email address — if you sign in (via a magic link, no password) or subscribe to price alerts.
• Search queries — what you type into "Find Any Show or Movie" is sent to our AI provider to find an answer (see "Third parties" below).
• Usage data — how many searches/scans you've used today, tracked against your account (if signed in) or an anonymous identifier stored in a cookie (if not), so we can enforce daily limits.
• Payment information — if you purchase a membership or a paid listing, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we only keep the resulting subscription status.

Cookies

• sg_member — keeps you signed in after clicking a magic-link email. Set only if you sign in.
• sg_anon — a random, non-identifying id used only to count your free daily searches before you sign in. Not used for tracking or advertising, and not shared with anyone.
• sg_admin — an internal session cookie for site administration. Only set for the site owner.

Third parties we use

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the Site. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

• Anthropic (Claude) — powers AI-driven search and price checks; your search text and, where applicable, live web search results pass through their API.
• Supabase — hosts our database (accounts, subscriptions, usage records).
• Resend — sends sign-in and price-alert emails on our behalf.
• Stripe — processes payments for memberships and paid listings.
• Vercel — hosts the Site itself.

We don't sell your personal information to anyone, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep account and subscription data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for records and fraud prevention. Usage/quota records are kept briefly (daily counters) for the purpose of enforcing plan limits.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from price alerts at any time using the link in any alert email. To request that we delete your account or personal data, email us at the address below and we'll take care of it.

Marketing emails — with your consent, we may occasionally email registered members about new features or promotions. This is opt-in and separate from sign-in links and price alerts: you can turn it on or off anytime from the account menu on the homepage, and turning it off never affects your ability to sign in or receive price alerts you've subscribed to.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
